Fatty Acyl-ACP thioesterase 1
Usage and Biology
The thioesterase I catalyzes the reaction of fatty acyl-ACP to the according fatty acid in E. coli.1 The most active substrates of the thioesterase are fatty acyl-CoA thioesters with a carbon chain length of 14 to 18.2
The thioesterase I was used in our myristic acid synthesis module, BBa_K2588022.
